Berlin Half Marathon Weekend with Jana & Nena

The weekend started with two arrivals in Berlin. Jana came up from Munich, Nena traveled in from Amsterdam. Both runners had the same plan for the days ahead: soak up the energy of the city and get ready for the Berlin Half Marathon.

Berlin was already buzzing with runners. Bib pickup, shakeout jogs along the river, cafés full of carb-loading athletes. On Saturday morning, Jana and Nena laced up their shoes for an easy shakeout through the city, weaving past historic streets and wide boulevards, getting a feel for the rhythm of race weekend.

Race day starts with the right setup.
Sunday morning arrived crisp and bright. At the start line of the Berlin Half Marathon, they stood shoulder to shoulder among thousands of runners. Breath in the cold air, music, cheers, the countdown.
Both were running in the same setup: the CEP OMNISPEED BOWTECH in Red Marigold with the matching gradient socks. Jana paired hers with the grey Core Run Loose Fit Shorts, a grey Tech Short Sleeve Shirt , and a running belt. Nena chose the black 2-in-1 Core Run Shorts and layered up with the Core Run Windbreaker over her grey Tech Shirt for the chilly start.

Then the race began.
They settled into the rhythm together through the early kilometers, flowing through Berlin’s streets as crowds lined the course. As the race unfolded, the pace picked up and the field stretched out. Nena gradually pushed ahead, eventually crossing the finish line in 1:42:30. Jana followed strong not far behind, finishing in 1:45:31.

After the race, the messages came in, full of adrenaline and joy. Nena wrote: “What a race!!! Tracker didn’t work and I lost my bib but finished in around 1:42:30 Vibes were amazing, weather was stunning. Such an amazing experience!!” Jana added simply: “Guys thanks a lot! We smashed it.”
A weekend that started with two runners arriving in Berlin ended with shared miles, fast times, and a race day they wouldn’t forget.
The cheering zones along the route create a unique atmosphere.
More than 36,500 runners finished the Berlin Half Marathon 2026.
